Find the cause of your foot pain, not just the symptoms
Foot and ankle pain can make everyday activities uncomfortable, whether you’re walking, exercising, or simply standing for long periods. At Green Podiatry in Brixworth, we focus on finding the underlying cause of your pain, not just treating the symptoms.
During your appointment, we’ll carry out a thorough assessment of your feet and lower limbs, using pressure plate gait analysis where appropriate to understand how your feet move and where excessive pressure may be causing problems. This allows us to create a personalised treatment plan designed to relieve pain, improve movement and help prevent your symptoms from returning.
Your treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs and may include shockwave therapy, acupuncture or dry needling, personalised exercise programmes, activity modification, footwear advice, or custom orthotics. We’ll explain your options clearly and work with you to find the most effective approach to help you recover.
Our goal is simple: to get you moving comfortably again and enjoying the activities you love.
Footscan® Technology Analysis
To better understand what’s causing your pain, we may use our advanced Footscan® pressure plate system as part of your assessment. As you walk across the plate, thousands of pressure measurements are recorded in seconds, allowing us to analyse how your feet move, how pressure is distributed, and whether poor biomechanics could be contributing to your symptoms.
Combined with our clinical assessment, this detailed analysis helps us diagnose the cause of your foot or ankle pain and determine whether supportive insoles, custom orthotics or other treatments are likely to benefit you. If you’d like to learn more about how this technology works, visit our Footscan® Technology page.
Insoles and Orthotics
Not everyone needs custom orthotics, but when additional support is required, the right insole can make a significant difference.
Depending on your condition, we may recommend prefabricated insoles or prescribe custom orthotics designed specifically for your feet. These devices work by improving foot alignment, redistributing pressure and supporting natural movement, helping to reduce pain while improving comfort and function.
Orthotics can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions including plantar fasciitis, flat feet, tendon problems, arthritis, recurrent ankle sprains and many other causes of foot pain.
Helping you stay active
Our goal isn’t simply to relieve today’s pain; it’s to help prevent it from returning.
Alongside insoles or orthotics, we may recommend footwear advice, stretching or strengthening exercises, activity modifications or additional treatments where appropriate. Every treatment plan is personalised, giving you the best opportunity to move comfortably and confidently again.
Whether your pain has developed gradually or started after an injury, we’re here to help you find the right solution.
